*The Code of Change*

It wasn’t long ago I felt happy and free again and you are back sniffing my happiness, and crawling your way back in. You decide to join me again and make me feel miserable. Hello there cramps! I understand how you keep missing me but not to be rude or anything I am not a big fan of your presence. Maybe you mean no harm but at times you can be unbearable. And you know even if you stay for no longer than a week I feel relieved after that for so many reasons. The major one be it’s over for NOW and I don’t have to worry for another 20-25 days to come, until you grace me with your presence again!

It’s true that your arrival makes me curse, cranky at all times, and gets me trigger too easily. But also meeting you has made me realise how strong I am as an individual, along with every girl, teen, woman out there who has to bear it every month of their lives. You make me realise my strength and respect for womanhood.

Some small minds might still think it as shameful or disgraceful. To these people i would want to ask- Why don’t you feel ashamed when you randomly spit on roads, when you pass comments on a girl just passing down by the street or by judging a woman’s charachter by her clothes and not a shirtless guy.

And this is not just the mental level of some middle aged people living in the present century but even till this date most elders judge women and this generation population. Trust me, they wouldn’t let slip a chance to taunt.

Why is it so? Why do we still judge and tag that as a ‘social opinion’. And by that, let me remind you-

We were the ones who created this society. We are a part of it. If we need to change this thinking, why not start with ourselves.

If you want a change, be that change first!

Be the change

Let’s bring a revolution, together.
Revolution for a better world.

We can change anything if we really want to. So stop being ashamed, start being proud of who you really are.
No matter what people might think. They will judge you no matter what.
Stop caring about the opinion of a few.

You are your own person!

Being a woman for me is a blessing and I am proud to be one.
I realised this feeling of respect for myself and all the women out their. I aspire them. Their strength, their passion, compassion, and even their rage. I aspire all those who I have seen smiling even in the toughest of situations.

To every person out there, I would just like to say-

Stand for yourselves!

Fight for yourselves!

Stay strong!

And when you will turn around, you’ll see, You are not alone! We are all here with you. Supporting and loving you.

And this is our code of change for a better world!

Salute to all the fearless bold women in this very world as you and i, having every chance and situation to coward away, but instead their strength depicts that of the world.

I admire them.

If they can, why not us!
